Paddle from Swanage Bay, a long sweeping sandy beach with a quayside and pier at the Southern end. You can put in anywhere along the beach, but a good place is Monkey Beach where there is easy access from parking, a slipway and the possibility to hire lit or join a session with Pierhead Watersports. From here you can simply explore the bay, the pier and Peveril Point, or head north to the dramatic coastline around Old Harry Rocks (although you may wish to start further up the beach if you’re doing that).
