About

Walk at Brownsea Island, a natural haven in Poole Harbour with amazing views of Purbeck and famed for its Red Squirrel population. Managed by the National Trust, this Island of adventure and nature has loads to offer, from waymarked trails for all abilities, a nature play park and beaches and coves to explore. You can also sign up for paddle sports with the island adventure centre and even stay the night at the island’s campsite. There are various options for getting here, predominantly by ferry from Poole Quay or Sandbanks Jetty, but also, for those in wheelchairs, using the National Trust’s Seahorse landing craft from Sandbanks Yacht Company (pre-booking required). If you’re super adventurous you can also paddle over and land on the South side of the island.
